Understanding Normative Questions

What is a normative question?

A normative question is one that seeks to establish a scenario through the opinions and answers about that scenario. This type of question can never be answered objectively (such as "yes" or "no" for example) because it needs an elaborate answer that shows how something should be done.

Simply put, a normative question will always ask "what should be done if ...?", "What would happen if ...?", "Should we do ...?"
